The series is expected to be 10 parts in length and is exclusive to Netflix. The Dark Crystal - Universe Guide Fantasy puppet story of a Geflins attempt to restore the Dark Crystal and bring peace to the land. The land around the Crystal turned to wasteland and the urSkeks split into two races, the Mystics and the Skeksis. A small shard of the Crystal broke off and became lost. Because she is the essence of Thra, she possesses the power to control tendrils, bushes, tall grasses, and other flora. The part of her that has withered is male, and the part that remains is female.
During the last convergence of the three suns, the urSkeks damaged the Crystal. The novel The Dark Crystal mentions that Aughra is both male and female.

SkekSo is the overarching antagonist of The Dark Crystal franchise, serving as the overarching antagonist of the movie The Dark Crystal and the main antagonist of the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance as well as the prequel comic book series The Dark Crystal: Creation Myths.
